For this weeks blog, I decided to study a bit about the temperature of the globe increasing-- which we know as global warming. I was browsing articles about the controversial topic and came across this article. There have been many debates on whether global warming is real or not, but I think that the proof is in the pudding. There have been much statistical evidence that points in the direction that the globe may never stop heating.
This article talked about the increase of temperature in the ocean, and the rapid speed in which it's increased. The U.N.'s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has conducted a new assessment on global warming. The results showed as expected. The ocean's temperature has been increasing at a scary rate. With the greenhouse gas emissions increasing, it's no wonder that the temperature hit its all-time high in 2012! The temperature passed the 400 parts/million record this year.
Thinking about all of the statistical components associated with global warming, it's a little unnerving. The earth keeps heating and heating thanks to these greenhouse gas emissions, and at this rate, who knows what the record will be next year?

The warming has such an impact on sea animals. I know that some fish are very sensitive to the temperature their water and die because of it. What will happen to those fish if the oceans keep warming? Can they adapt or will they die?
ReplyDeleteI find it extremely frustrated that some people don't believe that global warming exists. I wondering if they just say that because they don't care? There are so many facts and now new statistics saying that greenhouse gases in the atmosphere have reached a record high.
ReplyDeleteIf there is so much evidence, then why do people disagree. I mean really, what is the harm in taking 30 minutes tops out of your day to do simple things that could potentially help the planet?
